Let-Out Tucks.—Put three one-inch tucks above the bottom hem when making net curtains. They look effective and may be let out easily, one at a time, if the curtains shrink in the wash.

Tape The Tops. When elastic begins to lose its grip round the top of men’s underpants, stitch wide tape round the inside of the waistband and thread with elastic.
