LESOTHO INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY STAMPS.-Lesotho (formerly Basuteland) has issued these stamps to commemorate the first anniversary of Its independence on October 4. The 2½ cent stamp shows a statue of King Moshoeshoe I, founder of the Basuto nation; the 12½ cent shows the national flag of green, red, and blue vertical stripes with a Basuto hat in the middle; and the 25 cent shows a crocodile, the national emblem of the Basuto people.
