Cambodian Criticism
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) NEW YORK, October 12.
Cambodia lashed out at American "aggression” in Vietnam yesterday, accusing the United States of wanting to colonise the South-East Asian country. Mr Huot Sambath, representing Cambodia, which borders on Vietnam, declared in the General Assembly: “The American colonialists are indulging in human, cultural, moral and religious genocide, they are destroying all national and traditional values to replace them by violence, corruption and orgainsed misery.” Mr Sambath said the United States had to stop the bombing of North Vietnam as the first step towards peace. It had to pull out its troops and leave the people of Vietnam to settle their own affairs. Mr Sambath denied American allegations that Cambodia was being used as a sanctury and base by the Viet Cong.
