SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS
St Margaret’s College
The winners of scholarships for secondary education at St Margaret’s College were announced yesterday. The boarding scholarship has been won by Shirley Wilson, aged 11, of Claremont, Timaru. She is the daughter of Mr and Mrs L. J. Wilson and is at present attending Claremont School.
Shirley Wilson’s sister. Leona Wilson, who is in the sixth form at St Margaret's College, was also a scholarship winner. Winners of the day scholar ships for secondary education were Ann Johnston, aged 12, the daughter of the Rev. and Mrs T. Johnston of Chapter Street, who is at present at the St Margaret’s junior school, and Stella Monk, aged 12, the daughter of Mr and Mrs R. D. Monk of Desmond Street, who is at present at Cobham Intermediate School.
