Good supplies of all vegetables were available at Christchurch produce markets yesterday, especially lettuces from Oamaru and local growers. Lettuces sold from SI to 52.20 a case. Some North Island supplies of tomatoes were delayed by a train derailment near Taumaranui and did not arrive until about 1 p.m. They sold at prices from 43 cents to 70 cents a pound.
