Parliament’s Diary
The Bush Workers’ Amendment Bill was introduced and read a first time when Parliament resumed yesterday afternoon. Amendments to the Land and Income Tax Act were referred to a select committee.
Three local bills were read a second time. Ministers answered seven questions.
Urgency was then taken on 10 classes of Estimates. This indicated a Iqte sitting, but the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) indicated that if the estimates in the care of the Minister of Health (Mr McKay) were dealt with he would be satisfied.
