Pacer Sold To U.S.
Southam Song has been sold by his Auckland owner, Mr M. B. Dean, and the Papanui trainer. C. McDonald, who has raced him on lease in recent Sears. The Flying Song—Spring dition gelding, at present in Sydney, will leave for his new owner in America in about a ’southern Song did hisi early racing from H W. Cox’s Winton team. He was purchased at a big price as a three-year-old by Mr Dean. Southern Song failed to show much form in the north and he was leased to McDonald, for whom he graduated to New Zealand Cub class with a win at Forbury Park last May. Most of Southern Song s racing tn the last 18 months has been in Australia, where he won seven races, including tour at Harold Park.
