Ministerial Inspection
(From Our Own Reporter) TIMARU, August 30. The Minister of Civil Aviation (Mr Gordon) will be invited by the Timaru. Airport Authority to inspect the Timaru Airport at Levels in view of the Mount Cook Airline’s proposal to purchase a Hawker Siddeley 748.
Announcing this yesterday, the chairman of the authority (Mr C. R. Hervey) said the sealing of the airport would depend upon the economic situation, subject only to the replacement of the DC3 aircraft. The Airport Authority wel-
comed the announcement by Mount Cook Airlines and congratulated the company on its decision, said Mr Hervey.
