SYDNEY

The Sydney stock market mining shares and B.H.P. led the downward trend on the exchange yesterday. B.H.P. took off 20c to close at 1130. Some of the major price movements in the mining market were—C.R.A. down 18c to 806, Mount Isa down 16c to 386, and New B.H. down 10c to 754. Further gas flows have been reported by Santos from the Kalladeine No.- 1 well situated north-west of Gidgealpia. The last sale recorded was at 200.

Industrials were firm with rises in excess of falls. Movements were narrow in quiel trading. 8.H.P., however, continued to drift and closed 25c lower at 1130. Trading in minings was hesitant with moves mostly small and in balance. Mount Morgan rose, closing at 340. Losses included Consolidated Gold and Great Boulder. Oils were steady.
