“MONA VALE” OPTION

Extension To November 30

A three months’ extension of the option to purchase “Mona Vale” has been granted to the Christchurch Regional Planning Authority by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The new expiry date is Novmber 30. “We are hopeful that you will achieve your goal in the three months, since we are doubtful whether we can obtain an additional extension,” the church’s letter says. The Mormon Church requests that if, before three months, it becomes clear that there is no possibility of acquiring the property, it should be informed and the option terminated. Mr E. J. Bradshaw, chairman of the authority, said this was a generous gesture by the church. The first option to the end of May was extended until the end of August, and the third until the end of November gave more time for interested parties to proceed with their plans to finance the purchase.
