TOLERATION URGED
(N X, Prtti Atstciation) MASTERTON, Aug. 22. Affirmation of the belief that there should be legal toleration of homosexual acts between consenting male adults was made last night by the Wellington District Methodist Synod. In 1961 the national synod found “certain anomalies” in the present law on homosexual offences. The law, the synod said, took little account of female homosexuality. “There is no reason why the law should punish a man for what a woman may do with impunity.”
