Laidlaw In Otago XV
(N.Z. Press Association) DUNKDIN. The AU Blank half-back. C R. Laidlaw, has been Included in the Otago Rugby team which will begin its four-match tour of the North Island on August 16 with a game against Manawatu.
Laidlaw was injured in the game between North and South Universities at Auckland in June, but began training last week. He has been named an emergency for the tOago team to play its return match against Southland at Invercargill on Saturday.
The Otago team for this game and the emergencies, with all players comprising the team to tour, is:— E. X. Taylor, A. R. Somerville S. R. Inglis, M. P. Collins, D. G. Peddle, E. W. Kir ton, O Colloty, L. A. Clark. B R. Matuschka, A. J. Banks. J. W. Levido, W. w. Townsend, A. J. Kraft, G. P. Booth, L. D. Adam. Emergencies: C. R. Laidlaw, D. R. Edward, D. P. Bendlo, R. W. House.
