Basketball Colts
If members of the Canterbury men’s basketball colts team perform up to expectations in the twoday New Zealand tournament which ends at Auckland today the province could have a large representation in the national colts side to visit Australia later in the season. One Canterbury colt who seems certain of selection is University’s J. Culliford. He has already played for the senior New Zealand invitation side this season and only has to maintain his recent form to be sure of a place.
Another who Is now very much In the running is the 6ft 6in St. Andrew’s College centre, R. Millard. Since the beginning of the
season he has developed tremendously under the guidance of the Canterbury colts eoach (Mr R. S. Thomson) and has now learned to make much better use of his great height.
