Dead Driver Named
The name of the driver killed when two cars collided on the Rakaia railway overbridge, about two miles north of Rakaia, on Wednesday night has been released by the police. He was Thomas Konow, aged 25, of Svendborg, Denmark.
Mr Konow, who was single, was a trainee farm worker, and had been in New Zealand for four months.
John Lane, of Ashburton, the driver of the other car, was admitted to the Ashburton Hospital. His condition was reported to .be improving.
