She will spend nine months in Ontario at a college affiliated to the International Cathechetical Centre in Brussels, attending a religious course involving anthropology, theology and scripture. She will also spend three months at American summer schools of religious teaching. When she returns home she will work full time with the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine in her own parish. The confraternity is a special body to cater for religious instruction of children unable to attend Catholic schools.
Sister St Ann was born in Whataroa, South Westland, and attended the Whataroa Primary School and St Mary’s College in Hokitika.
She has held numerous teaching appointments throughout the diocese, including Loreto College, and parish schools in Runanga, Sockbum, and Lyttelton.
Veteran Actress Dies.— Minnie Love, a veteran stage performer, died in Sydney Wednesday night, aged 82. Miss Love spent more than 50 years performing in vaudeville, pantomime, musical comedy, radio, films and television.—Sydney, August 4.
