U.K. Bases In Libya
(N.Z P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) CAIRO, Aug. 4. Britain has agreed to pull out her troops from bases in Libya within six months, the Egyptian semi-official Middle East News Agency reported
yesterday from Tripoli. Quoting the Libyan Foreign Ministry, the agency said British and Libyan officials were at present negotiating the removal of British military bases in Libya agreed to during their first meeting on Tuesday in Benghazi.
Britain is to withdraw her troops and hand over military installation to the Libyan Government within six months, the agency said.
It was also announced in Tripoli that talks on the future of the United States air base in Libya will begin on August 10. A six-man Libyan .team will meet an American delegation in Tripoli.
