RESEARCH ON WOOL
Liaison With Brokers
Mr M. M. Agar, formerly assistant manager of the wool department of the New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Association of Canterbury, Ltd., began duties yesterday with the Wool Research Organisation at Lincoln as chief appraiser. He and Mr L. Clare, a private buyer in Masterton, will form a link with brokers throughout New Zealand in the development of a system
of sampling main bln lines and the collection of samples for measurement by the organisation. The organisation plans to establish, by measurement, the length and fineness and colour characteristics of the main lines of brokers at all centres, and hopes to assist in the development of more regular and better-classed lines. Mr Clare will take up his appointment with the organisation towards the end of the month.
