Experience has been blended with promise In the ranks of the Canterbury Junior 'Golfing Society’s team to defend the Terry Brady Stiver against a side from the Wellington society j© Wellington this week-end. Th® Canterbury team is;-» Boys: B. C. Taylor, P. C. Cleland, F, Hobbs, R. S. Peate, P. Hay. S, Dixon . Girls: Misses 8. Blssett, J. Lee, P, Chisholm, S. Rogers. This will be the second contest for the salver and the third main trip for a team from the Canterbury society, which is limited to players under 25 years of ageThe contest will start at the Manor Park course on Saturday and continue at Miramar on Sunday. Although some good players are not included in the team, Canterbury should be well served by its representatives. Taylor and Cleland, who are both on scratch, Hobbs (1) and Peate (3) have been prominent in Woodward Cup play, and Hay and Dixon are full of promise. All the girls have risen in standing this year and Miss Bissett went close to gaining Canterbury selection.
