Tax Head’s Visit
The recently-appointed Commissioner of Taxation (Mr D. A. Stevens) will visit Christchurch next Friday. He will speak to staff, confer with representatives of he Society of Accountants, hold a press conference and attend a social function to mark the twenty-first anniversary of the opening of the Inland Revenue Department in Christchurch. Mr Stevens is a former District Commissioner in Christchurch. He succeeded the late Mr L. J. Rathgen, who died suddenly several weeks ago.
