Companies Buy At Old Price
(N.Z. Press Association) NELSON, June I. Manufacturers today started buying tobacco leaf in the Motueka area at last season’s prices. At a hearing on Tuesday the Price Tribunal reserved its decision on the price to be paid to growers by manufacturers.
“In the event of any change in price, adjustments will be made at ’a later date,” the tobacco companies said.
