At the request of th* IHntoter of Oversow Trads, tbs Tariff and Dsvslopment Board proposes to Inquire into and report on the queetOon of whether the gooda Hated in Paragraph 2 hereunder zhould be added to Schedule A of the New Zealand-Auetre-lia Free Trade Agreement. 2. The good subject to the Inquiry and the ratee of import duty at preeent payable thereon are as follows: July, 1007, Tariff Item No., ExJO.O7; Present Tariff Item No., —; Brief Description, Articles and materials, of Artificial reotno and plastic material* ceUuioee eaten enq ethers, of the kind described in headings Noe. 39.01 to 30.08 VIZ —*0.07.61, 893.201.8, Clips, tags, rings and other articles for the identification of animals, birds or flab; British Preferential, Free; Most Favoured Nation. —; General Tariff, i Free. ' 3. In considering this matter the 1 Board win have regard to all relevant provisions of the New Zealand-Australia Free Trade Agreement. It wIM take ■ full account of the advantages and disadvantages to New Zealand industry concerned and to New Zealand as a whole of including the items in Schedule A. 4. For the purpose of taking evidence en thio subject the Board wilt bold a Public Inquiry commencing on Wednesday, July 19, 1967, at 10.30 a.m., in the Board Room, First Floor, N.Z. Law Society Building, 26 Waring Taylor street, Wellington. . 5. Any person who Intends to tender evidence will, on notifying the undernamed to that effect, be supplied with a form Indicating the nature of the information which should be submitted in support of representations. 6. Twelve copies of a typewritten statement of the evidence to be tendered, compiled in accordance with the form and supported by any additional information, should be lodged with the undernamed not later than Wednesday. July 12, 1967. Each statement will need to be presented under oath at the Public Inquiry by the person tendering I*. 7. It should be noted that submissions made to the Department of Industries and Commerce wffi not be regarded as evidence unless copies are supplied by applicants to the Board as statements of evidence, and presented under oath as required herein. NOTE:— The Board has been advised of representations made by one Interested party to the Department of Industries and Commerce objecting to the inclusion in Schedule A of Plastic ear tags for the identification of animals (Ex. 30.07).
