Athletes Delayed
(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN. A letter from Finland setting out the full Scandinavian itinerary has delayed the departure from New Zealand of D. B. Burns (Otago), the national mile champion, and B. G. Rose, the New Plymouth distance runner. Until the itinerary is received, probably within two or three days, and approved by the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association, the two athletes will not be able to leave the country. Originally they were 'to have left New Zealand yesterday but it has since been learnt that they are not required in Finland before June 8. It is understood that the main meeting in Scandinavia for the two athletes will be the World Student Games in Finland on June 26.
