Airline Plans
Although there is no prospect of any French airliners using Christchurch at present, U.TA.-Air France plans to open an office to assist tourists. Initially it will be a temporary office in Worcester street but in August the airline will move into the Bank of New Zealand luilding. Mr T. K. J err am will be in charge of the Christchurch office. This was announced yesterday by the airline’s regional manager for Australia and New Zealand (Mr M. F. Taillard 7. Another airline, Air India, at present using premises in Armagh street, will also move into the bank building in August. Air India, which has been represented in Christchurch for the last five years, would be making room for expansion by its move into larger premises, said the district sales manager (Mr G. P. Larsen).
