(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) NEW YORK, June 1. The jazz composer and arranger, Billy Strayhorn, died of cancer in New York yesterday. He was aged 51. Since 1939 he collaborated with the jazz pianist, Duke Ellington. He composed such hits as “Jake the A-train,” “Lush Life,” and “Chelsea Bridge.”
