CULVERDEN DOG TRIAL
A Reid day dog trial, organised by the Culverden Rugby Club, was held on Burrows’ Bros, property at Culverden recently. Mr W. J. Plaleted judged the huntaway events and Mr J. Crookes judged the heading classes.
The results of the field day were: Heading.—Malden: C. Bendairs Murk. 90i points, 1; E. Baynton's Craig, 87i, 2; 0. Tripe’s Dick. 87, S: N. Topp’s Mac, 86, 4. Intermediate: H. Eder’s Queen, 92i, 1; J.. Burrows’s Spark, 92, 2; H. Lang’s Dick, 911, 3. ■ Huntaway.—Malden: E. Baynton’s Bough. 88, 1; S. Pettigrew’s Wave, 86, 2; E. 3. Lee's Lady, St, 3; B. Anderson’s Tweed, 80, 4. intermediate: E. Baynton's Rough, 88, 1; A. F. S. Rutherford’s Cloud, 87, 2; S. Pettigrew's Wave, 86, 3, The Donald MacKenzle Memorial Challenge Cup and the prize for the competitor under 21 were won by C. Bendall with Murk, 901 points.
