Cook’s Tour
(N.Z. Pren Ann. —Copyright)
SYDNEY, May 30.
Graham Kerr left today on a tour of the world’s top restaurants to persuade them to put Australian dishes on their menus.
Mr Kerr, who made his name on New Zealand television and was an Immediate success in Australia with his own cooking programme, is waging a personal crusade to make Australian dishes known internationally. He would even approach Maxim’s of Paris to suggest that “Brisbane prawn souffle” was essential on its menu, he said.
Mr Kerr will visit Honolulu, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Mexico City, New Orleans, New York, London, Copenhagen, Paris, Geneva, Vienna, Rome and Hong Kong.
