House Sold For £6900
A. house on a section of 26 perches, zoned residential C, at 29 Kilmore street was sold for £6900 at public auction yesterday. The sale was held on account of the estate of K. E. Napier by N. H. McCrostie and Company. The auctioneer was Mr N. H. McCrostie.
The house has a livingroom, dining-room, sunroom, four bedrooms, bathroom, and kitchen. There is also a garage. The Government valuation is £5275. After the initial bid of £6OOO, Mr McCrostie took nine bids of £lOO.
A modern two-storey bungalow at 217 Springfield road, St. Albans, was passed in at £3500. The sale was held by A. E. Barrell and Company. The auctioneer was Mr A. E. Barrell. The house has three bedrooms, living-room, diningroom, kitchen, bathroom and laundry. There is also a garage and a workshop on the section of 25 perches, zoned residential B A two-bedroomed house, part of a duplex building at 149 Ham road, Fendalton, was passed in at £5BOO. The sale was held by Carlton Land Sales. The auctioneer was Mr Reece Smith. A house at 81 Studholme street, Spreydon, has been sold by private treaty by Binns, Barber, and Keenan, Ltd. The property was passed in when offered at auction.
