Successful Night
The Canterbury Park Trotting Club’s night meeting at Addington Raceway on Saturday proved a great success. The crowd of 6018 was 1000 greater than for a day meeting 12 months earlier. On-course totalisator turnover amounted to £85,171 10s, including £15,195 in doubles, compared with £71,928 10s last year. Off-course betting amounted to £119,940 10s, including £59,228 on the double, compared with £64,052 15s last year. The track was in surprisingly good order after rain until midday.
