SALE AND REMOVAL—OLD GLENMARK RIVER BRIDGE Tenders, which close at 4 p.m on Tuesday, June 13. 1967. are invited for the sale and removal "as is. where Is” of the bridge described below. Tenders are to be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "Disposals Tender No. 498” and addressed to the District Stores Officer, Ministry of Works, P.O. Box 1479. Christchurch. Each tenderer will be notified within 14 days from closing date whether or not his tender has been accepted. The Old Glenmark River Bridge is situated on State Highway No? 1. approximately 3 miles north of Waipara Sale will be subject to the General Conditions of Sale of Government Stores by Tender, and in addition the following special conditions of sale will apply: 1. The bridge is 91ft tong, constructed of hardwood stringers and timber decking and piers. 2. The bridge to be dismantled and removed from the riverbed except that all concrete work is to remain in place. 8. All piles are to be withdrawn from the riverbed or cut off at ground level. 4. Salvaged timber shall be stacked clear of all road formations to the satisfaction of the Engineer. 5. All timber, bolts, etc., shall be removed from the site within two months of date of acceptance of tender. S9BR STANDING TIMBER Tenders closing June 23, 1967, are invited for the purchase of approximately 6 acres of Radiata pine trees containing an appraised total volume of Approximately 63.000 cu. ft. to a 6in top diameter (where possible). The trees, which are situated near Scargill and approximately 56 miles from Christchurch, are of very good size and form and should produce a good percentage of peelers.
