“The attributes of the Charolais reflect the recognition of tiie three primary considerations in efficient beef production —rapid growth rate, high feed conversion efficiency and relatively late maturity,” said Dr. G. C. Everitt, of tiie Ruakura agricultural research centre, in a paper to last week’s Lincoln farmers’ conference.
"These principles, that we have got to be aware of, we see particularly in ..the, Charolais and also in, the Friesian,” he added.
