Supreme Court PROPORTION OF BLAME
Jury Finding Of3Tol Safeway Scaffolding, Ltd., (Mr G. S. Brockett) was found 75 per cent responsible by a jury in the Supreme Court yesterday for the injury suffered by an employee when scaffolding collapsed at the university science block at Ham on September 4, 1964. John Calder, Ltd, (Mr B. P. Thompson, with him Mr C. B. Atkinson) was found to be 25 per cent responsible. Mr Justice Macarthur adjourned the case for further consideration of the proper form of the judgment By consent an order tor payment of £1197 4s to the plaintiff, Arthur Edward Woodthorpe, a labourer (Mr B A. Barrer) by Safeway Scaffolding, Ltd, was made on Thursday when the hearing commenced. Safeway Scaffolding, Ltd, the second defendant, then claimed a contribution of this amount from John Calder, Ltd, the first defendant
