Head Cheered By Employees <N.Z. Pre** Assn.-ebpvHphti MELBOURNE, May 25. Employees of Davies Coop and Company, Ltd., cheered today when their managing director (Mr P. D. Parry) told them: “Not only will we win this take-over fight, but we win come out of it stronger than when we went in.” Mr Party and other inembers ofthe board met the employee! at a ceremony in the company’s canteen to thank the employees for help-* ing to fight a proposed takeover of the company by Viyella International, Ltd. Funds Collected Earlier this month the 3500 employees had collected 82093 to advertise a protest against the take-over by an overseas company. They also offered to buy Davies Coop shares. Mr Parry today thanked the employees for their “loyal pledge to support the board in frustrating the take-over bid of the company.”
