Mr M. N. McDonald, of Melbourne, who handled D. Chlloiro in his fight against T. George at Canterbury Court on Thursday evening left Christchurch yesterday a puzzled man. “The Canterbury Boxing Association officials are the most peculiar lot I have had to deal with in a lifetime around boxing rings —fancy quarrelling over who waa to be my bucket boy In Chlloiro’* corner,” the veteran handler Mid. A minute before the big fight is going to start the officials come into the dressing room and say that Mick Drury is not allowed to be In Chiloiro’s corner. "I’m a peaceable bloke, but I just say no Mick Drury for bucket boy, and Chiloiro wont get in the ring. And I mean it, and the officials know I mean it, and a minute later Chiloiro is in the ring and Mick is on the bucket in my corner. BENEATH OFFICIAL? "So Mick is a ref, a judge, a former boxer and former member of the Canterbury Association. Do the officials think it beneatb an official -to lie a bucket boy? Do they think he will be pointing out weaknesses in George’s boxing? I had seen George box Chlloiro before.... "They won’t say. They don’t know. All that worry over a bucket boy, Chiloiro lost the decision, but I think my boy shaded George. I am disappointed, but I am not worried. It was a close bout. “But worrying all the time over a bucket boy. And officials disagreeing amongst themselves and chopping and changing. Wouldn’t it rock you?”
