PIPELINE CLOSURE
Govt. May Be Sued (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) LONDON, May 26. A London company said yesterday it may sue the British Government over the closure of the Rhodesian oil pipeline. The pipeline, built to Carry oil from the Portuguese East African port of Beira to the Rhodesian refinery at Umtali, is owned by an Anglo-Portu-guese company of which the London-based Lonrho company owns 63 per cent The line has been idle since the British Government imposed oil sanctions against Rhodesia nearly 18 months ago. The Portuguese part-own-ers, who have the controlling vote, decided on May 1 to consider selling the project.
