FIVE BODIES FOUND
Stem Section Of Circe (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) HYERES (France), May 26. The bodies of Captain Nikoulaou Stratis, the master of the ill-fated Liberian tanker Circe, and four other crew members, were found yesterday on the shattered stern section of the vessel, which is being towed to Marseilles. A boarding party made the find after the two tugs towing the wreck dropped anchor off Hyeres because of bad weather. Circe was cut in two by an explosion off Toulon last Monday. Only one survivor out of the 39-man crew has been found.
Workers Riot Police opened fire on rioting workers outside a paper mill at Brajarajnagar on Wednesday, killing one and wounding several others after pickets had beaten to death a constable guarding the mill gates.—Cuttock (India), May 26.
