RUNNING IN HURDLES
Big Boy At Rotorua
“The Press” Special Service HAMILTON. Big Boy, a dual acceptor at Rotorua tomorrow, will contest the Kawerau Hurdles in preference to the Lakelands Hack Steeples. His trainer, A. D. Whiteman, of Wanganui, said at Te Rapa yesterday that Big Boy and Beyond will be going on to Ellerslie next week to contest races at the Auckland Racing Club's winter fixture. Beyond will run in ♦he Great Northern Hurdes tomorrow week. His rider will be G. Jenkins. '
Big Boy is in the Hunt Hurdles, two milest on opening day. Bill and Taking Ways will return to Wanganui after racing at Rotorua and they will compete at the Wanganui fixture tomorrow week. The Wellington Cup winner, Micfiael Molloy, has been kept in steady work by Te Rapa trainer, J. H. Hely. His next mission is the Cornwall Handicap on the third day of the Auckland meeting. The stabtemates, Capella and Garden Place, have been turned out for spells. Garden Place has had three hurdles races and. is now eligible for highweight events.
