Singer Fined
(X .ZP. A.-Reuter—Copyright) LONDON, May 24. The British pop singer. Screaming Lord Sutch, attended Court yesterday wearing cowboy boots, pink paisley trousers, a red, flower-pat-terned shirt, a black military tunic with gold braids and tails, white gloves, and a black top hat. He also carried an anticue silver-topped cane. He had been summonsed to appear over his former pirate radio station. His outfit was so bizarre that it brought a smile to the Magistrate’s face. Sutch, aged 23, who gave his name as Lord David Edward Sutch, was fined £lO for failing to make annual returns.
His mother, 48-year-old Mrs Annie Sutch, was fined £B, on the same charge. Both were said to be directors of a company called Telecity, which used to be called Radio Sutch—a pirate radio station that never sent out a programme.
