Tasman Raises Interim Div.
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 25. The Tasman Pulp and Paper Company, Ltd., has raised the interim dividend from 5 per cent to 5j per cent, suggesting an increase from 10 to 11 per cent for the full year. Directors said today they had decided on the increase in spite of the expectation that there would be some decline in the profit for the current year. This was mainly because of the strikes of pulp and paper workers and latterly railway tradesmen. Looking ahead, they felt that an increase in dividend at this point of time was warranted.
The interim dividend is payable on August 15, ex June 30.
