Political Alliance
(N.Z. Press Association) NAPIER, May 24. The Progress Party, formed in Napier last week-end, has merged with the Democratic Party. The new party will be known as the Democratic Progress Party. It is described as a "middle of the road” group and hopes to contest at least 20 seats at the 1969 general election.
