C.M.I. Bonus Div. After Profit Lift
(Neto Zealand Press Association) * AUCKLAND, May 24. Consolidated Metal Industries, Ltd., Auckland, lifted pre-tax consolidated profit by about £lB,OOO, or 6.4 per cent, to about £300,000, directors announced in a preliminary statement today.
As in the previous year, a bonus of It per cent will be added to the steady 11 per cent dividend. The final dividend is 5j per cent and the shares issued in the one-for-five premium issue last year qualify for half of this. Directors also announce two take-over moves. Capital Purchased Negotiations have been concluded for the acquisition of the. entire capital of Spackman Engineering Company, Ltd., Wellington production engineer. -The consideration is in shares and cash. Currently, the company is negotiating the acquisition of the ordinary shares of Weston Engineering, Ltd., Napier production engineer.
