Bullion In Demand
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter— Copyright) LONDON, May 24. Tension in the Middle East brought a very heavy demand for gold on the London bullion market
yesterday. Demand at the London morning session was the highest this year and probably one of the highest on record. Buying was said to be coming from the Middle East—where gold hoarding always increases in times of trouble—and from the Continent.
