‘DIFFICULT’ SEASON
Farmers In Otago (N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, May 23. The 1966-67 farming season had been one of the most difficult in Otago for many years, the chairman of the meat and wool section of Otago Federated Farmers, Mr T. G. McNab, said at the section's annual meeting today. “Not only has most of the province and surrounding districts been beset by drought, which in some areas reached serious proportions, but there has been a substantial decline in income from meat and wool products,” he said.
