Air Pollution
Sir, —Good news today is that the Christchurch Drainage Board is a member of the Clean Air Society. May all other local bodies also become members! We might then have a garden city fit for tourists to visit and residents to dwell in, let alone shoppers to see and breathe in for healthy vim and zest instead of the heavy-fumed murk we endure, especially on our increasing number of “temperature inversion” days. When our authorities realise the cost of their negligence and procrastination, will they get on with air clearance?—Yours, etc., STILL WONDERING. May 24, 1967.
