Profit Jump By Harvey
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 23. Alex Harvey and Sons, Ltd., Auckland metal and plastic products manufacturer, raised consolidated net profit by £53,000, or 9 per cent to about £640,000 in the year to March 31. The result is subject to audit The directors announced in a preliminary statement today that the result represented an earning rate of 24.7 per cent on ordinary capital, against 22.6 per cent last year. Last year the rate on shareholders’ funds was 14.6 per cent. The dividend will be held at 11 per cent The final of 6 per cent Is payable on July 14; ex dividend July 5.
