Large Transaction In New York
(N.Z. Press Asm.—Copyright) NEW YORK, May 23. The largest block of shares ever traded on the New York Stock Exchange changed hands on Friday. One million shares of Pacific Petroleum, Ltd., which has its headquarters in Calgary, were traded at $13.25 a share —down 25c from Thursday. The -previous record block transacted was 586,600 shares of Sperry Rand Corporation, on May 4 last.
Ban On Toys.—The British Government is to ban the sale of celluloid toys because of their fire danger.—London, May 23.
