U.S. Ships Picketed
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 21. About 50 demonstrators from the Auckland Peace for Vietnam Committee on Saturday picketed the visiting American ships, U.S S. Turner Joy, and U.S.S. McKean.
One group boarded the Turner Joy but was escorted off by two policemen, about a dozen of whom patrolled the wharf. Once on board the ship the demonstrators stripped off pull-overs to reveal T-shirt slogans. On shore the demonstrators, carrying placards, were orderly.
