Clovelly Wins At Rosehill
(Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) SYDNEY. The New Zealand-bred four-year-old, Clovelly (Pharamond— First Nibble), earned a trip to Brisbane for the Doomben Cup in July with a dashing win In the Lord Mayor's Cup (lof.) at Rosehill on Saturday. Clovelly, which was not nominated for the two-mile Briebane Cup, won by a length from Mexican Star (25/1), which edged the top-weight, Tea Biscuit (9/1), Into third place by a short half head. Starting at 6/1, Clovelly was brilliantly ridden by M. Schumacher, and had the race won more than three furlongs from home.
