Compromise At Last
Compromise capped off three eonsceutive second placings with a win in the Farewell Handicap at Washdyke on Saturday. Compromise led early, but she trailed Sequoia over the last seven furlongs. She moved to the front just inside the furlong and was joined immediately by Dawn Peterson, with Apex moving through on the inner. Compromise looked to be beaten 100 yards out, but she came again and won by half a neck.
Apex was a short head back third, a short length In front of Late Frost, which looked most unlucky. He was pushed back racing to the straight and made up a lot of ground.
