Pretty young waitresses wearing full bridal gowns are a new gimmick to attract male customers to a Tokyo coffee shop named “Ladies Town” in the Ginza area. The “brides” dutifully bow the customers into the cafe, and bow them out when they

; “please visit us again .... i soon." ’ A girl harpist provides soft music while the “brides” r serve coffee to the clients in , the romantic atmosphere • created. A cup of coffee costs
the equivalent of 4 shillings up to 5 p.m., and 6 shillings until the cafe closes at 11 p.m. ... a bit expensive, but the girls look so charming, and the wedding dresses are costly. The waitress “brides” at work.
