WAR GRAVES COMMISSION
(Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.A.) LONDON, May 19. New Zealand’s “deep gratitude and very best wishes” to all who have been and are associated with the work of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission was conveyed by the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) in a message to a meeting commemorating the 50th anniversary of the commission yesterday. Mr Holyoake said the work of the commission, begun in the First World War and added to tragically in the Second World War, had brought to all those throughout the Commonwealth who lost relatives and friends the greatest possible comfort.
